The Château de La Roche Jagu, which can be seen from the train, was built in the 15th century with two purposes in mind: it was both a prestige residence and a defensive work.
This is why the Château de La Roche Jagu has two completely different façades: from the Trieux you can see the château's defensive façade but on the courtyard side the château looks like a fine large Breton manor house.
